Books (and other similar tools designed to help you grow) bombard you with information. But to be able to function properly one first needs to organize the information that is already in their head, not more information which would lead to information overload.
If you don't use it, you lose it. This is the reason you might read a book full of important information, only to realise that all that work was for nothing because a year later you still haven't put the theory into practice.
When asked “What would you wish if you had only one wish", a reasonable man would answer for more wishes. So if you could only learn one thing, wouldn’t that thing be to learn how to learn?
„Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.“ And yet great people, who are trying to educate us, have been giving out fishing rods without teaching us how they work in the first place. All these books, courses, planners...etc. are great tools, but they all assume you know how to use them to their fullest potential. Lack of goals, motivation and organization therefore will not be fixed with a better fishing rod, but with a lesson about how to use one.
The Nota Book method combines the practice of journaling and the guidance of a self- help book. Our mission has always been to unify theory and practice, so that we can build a strong system that acts as the foundation from which to develop and grow. Our method of discovering and learning - trying and tracking - reflecting and analysing takes you by the hand and teaches you how to “fish”, until you're confident enough to do it yourself! And much, much more!:
